The Carnac campground we built is a 4-star family campground nestled in a setting that few other campgrounds in Morbihan can claim: right on the shore of the Ria de Crac’h. This inlet forms a saltwater lake where the light changes with the tides. From the bar’s terrace and from some of the mobile homes, the water is right there—salty, calm, and quintessentially Breton.

The Ty Brehat and Ty Latz models are our accommodations with a direct view of the lake and the Crac’h estuary. Wake up to a view of the saltwater, watch the Breton light shift across the lake’s surface from the covered terrace—that’s the experience these mobile homes offer.
The Ty Brehat comes in three versions to suit your group:

- Ty Brehat, 32 m²: 2 bedrooms, covered terrace with a view of the lake, sleeps 4
- Ty Brehat, 40 m²: 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, covered terrace with a view of the lake, for families looking for more comfort
- Ty Latz, 22 m²: 1 bedroom, terrace with a view of the lake, ideal for a couple
The Ty Latz is our lake-view mobile home for two. It’s compact and well-designed, with a view of the ria right from the terrace.

Two specific commitments set our family-friendly campground apart from standard campgrounds in Morbihan.
First: accessibility. Our Ty Lok PMR mobile home (30 m², 2 bedrooms, terrace) is designed for people with limited mobility. The pool is also accessible to people with limited mobility. These features are not optional; they are part of our standard offering.
Second: pets. We welcome dogs in our mobile homes. If your family includes a four-legged friend, you’re welcome to stay with us. Please check with our staff for the specific policies regarding your stay.

We are reserving 40 sites for traditional campers: tents, trailers, RVs, and campervans. Each campsite in Carnac measures at least 80 m², with plenty of room to set up without feeling cramped. A 6A electrical hookup is included, along with access to drinking water.
RV travelers will find a waste disposal area on site. The laundromat (coin-operated washing machines and dryers) is available to all campers. Sinks for washing dishes and laundry round out the restroom facilities.
Our campsites in Carnac are the perfect starting point for exploring Southern Brittany at your own pace. In the morning, the menhirs. In the afternoon, the beach. In the evening, the terrace overlooking the lake.

The heated pool at Camping Le Lac: swimming all day long

Our heated pool is the campground’s main aquatic facility. Located outdoors and maintained at 25°C, it is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Even on cloudy days or during the shoulder seasons, this temperature ensures a pleasant swim regardless of the Breton weather.
The aquatic center consists of three areas. The main pool is for adults and children who can swim. The wading pool is for the youngest children. And since 2025, a water play area has transformed afternoons by the pool for children ages 5 to 12.
The pool is accessible to people with limited mobility. The terrace next to it offers a view of the lake. This is a setting that few campgrounds with pools in Carnac can offer.
What we don’t offer: water slides, lifeguard supervision, or scheduled water activities. Our swimming area is simple, well-maintained, and heated to a comfortable temperature. For families vacationing in Carnac who are looking for peace and quiet rather than excitement.

The Carnac menhir alignments are just a 10-minute drive from our campground. Several thousand standing stones are arranged in rows stretching for kilometers. It’s a prehistoric site whose sheer scale surprises even those who thought they knew it from photos.
The Carnac Museum of Prehistory rounds out the visit with collections that place the site in its historical and archaeological context. Allow half a day for both.
A practical tip: Visit early in the morning—before 9 a.m. in July and August—or during the shoulder seasons (May–June, September). Seeing the menhirs without the crowds, bathed in the morning light, is a whole different experience. La Trinité-sur-Mer is just a few kilometers away. With its lively marina, sailing school, and kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals, it’s the hub of water sports in the bay. Children ages 8 and up can try their hand at sailing in group lessons there.
The Quiberon Peninsula is worth a full day’s visit. The rugged coastline to the west, the sheltered beaches to the east, the fishing port, and the sardine canneries. A taste of authentic Brittany just about thirty kilometers away.

When to Stay at Camping Le Lac in Carnac: Seasonal Information and Tips
July or September? Both
Carnac is a popular destination during peak season. Demand is highest in July and August: the beaches are packed, as are the menhirs, and accommodations book up several months in advance. If you’re planning a trip during these two months, be sure to book early. We recommend checking availability at the beginning of the year for a summer vacation.
The off-season months, however, are well worth a visit. In May, June, and September, Carnac takes on a different rhythm. You can visit the menhir alignments without waiting in line. The fine-sand beaches are accessible without having to search for an open spot. The Breton light in September is particularly beautiful on the lake.
