The Carnac campsite is located in an area renowned for its rich birdlife. In the surrounding area, different species can be observed depending on the natural environment. Theelegant avocet is mentioned in the salt marshes, while the osprey can be seen on the coast. The moors are home to the pitchou warbler, the maritime pipit and theEuropean nightjar. The beaches and rocks are home to redshanks, curlews, gulls and terns. This diversity underlines the importance of preserving natural habitats, and makes the campsite’s commitment as an LPO Refuge all the more meaningful.
